Carol Haden has been involved in science education for twenty-two years beginning with her tenure as a high school biology instructor on the Navajo Reservation of Northern Arizona. She has a special interest in supporting exemplary and equitable science education for traditionally underserved populations. For the past seven years, Dr. Haden has worked in the field of educational evaluation in the area of K-20 STEM education. Formerly the Evaluation Coordinator for the Center for Science Teaching and Learning at Northern Arizona University, she has a solid grounding in standards-based, best practices in STEM education.

Dr. Haden holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University. She has acted as evaluator on STEM education projects sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Arizona Board of Regents, Goddard Space Flight Center, and the Arizona Department of Education. She is experienced in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and in mixed methods approaches to data collection and analyses, report writing and presentation of findings. Through her work with Magnolia Consulting, she has expanded her expertise into evaluation of curriculum materials for English Language Learners.
